Dear Faith Promise Keeper

occupation of the buildings with as little disruption to ministry as possible.

Electronic communications to continue to improve.

Jonathan & Jean Mumbi (YWAM Livingstone)mumbi11

The Base has had lots of battles with flu. Jonathan has had as many as 6 bouts of flu in the last 6 months (maybe because of his travelling).

He will be away again for 10 days for a Regional Staff training and Leadership meeting.

The building project is moving along slowly but surely. They have carried 7 tones of rock by hand to fill a 3x3 soak away. With that done, they will be focussing on getting 6 of the 7 bathrooms connected and working.

They have delayed in putting in the window frames due to the risk of theft but the door frames are made and ready to be fit. Next will be the electrical fittings, ceilings and then painting.

The Mumbi children are home on holiday at the moment and will only go back to boarding school on 6 September.

Please pray for:
Mr. Mafrika (High School principal) who had a stroke and is on 2 month’s sick leave.
the acting principal to be able to run the school smoothly, and have good collaboration from teachers.
a safe journey for Letson.
Letson’s family while he is away.
learners to continue
meeting during Letson’s
absence.

Letson Kamwana (Ministry at Masiphumelele High and Primary Schools)

To redeem the time lost over the Soccer World Cup, learners from grade 10 – 12 have to attend extra lessons from 14h30 -15h30. This raised a challenge to the Masi Ministry as few learners were now able to attend Bible Study. The only way to get a good attendance is to have the Bible Study during the long break from 11h20 – 12h15. It was very encouraging that many grade 8 learners have been coming along and the group has grown to twenty five.

“Missions Without Boarders” donated boxes of Bibles to Letson and he handed it out to the learners. What a wonderful gift! Some learners didn’t know how to use the Bible, so Letson used two sessions for Bible introduction.

Due to Letson’s work with SIM (Serving In Mission), he will be attending a seminar in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 26 August - 6 September 2010. The purpose is to promote the organization, improve and establish good networking internationally and make churches part of the greatest commission: “Go and make disciples…”
