Latest News - september 08
This is the last Fullies Missions/Bursary Fund newsletter for the period September 2007 to August 2008. As you know, our target for this period is R200 000. Do you think we will make it? Come to the special Missions Services (morning and evening) on Sunday, 28 September to find out!
ROBIN MILES
We are very glad to report that Robin has recovered completely from a major infection in both ears, without any side effects.
DALE & NATALIE SMYTH
Quoting Dale and Natalie on the Barn Dance: “We, of Shining Star Sailing, would like to thank all those who attended the Barn Dance on 18 July. The support we experienced from the church members, both before and during the dance, was tremendous and much appreciated. It was fantastic to see everyone having a good time dancing and socialising with fellow church members and visiting friends alike.” The Barn Dance was a useful tool in promoting the cause of Shining Star Sailing since Dale & Natalie could show their Shining Star Sailing DVD to at least 150 people. R5000 was raised towards the lead for the Hout Bay 40 through this event and Dale & Natalie are very excited at the many friendships and relationships which have developed as a result.
Anyone who wants to visit the boat can contact Natalie on 082 8324660.
LETSON KAMWANA
Letson & his team are still going through the series of Christian Values at the Ukhanyo Primary School Students Christian Organization and this term is “Perseverance” and next term “Self Control”. The learners need to be encouraged not to give up and hold on to Jesus Christ. Due to weather and afternoon classes the attendance has been bad. The morning devotions have been going very well and there is some improvement on learner’s behavior. Please pray for the team to be able to reach out to the learners with the gospel and meet them at their point of need. Also pray for learners to cope with pressure, especially the Grade 12’s as they are preparing for the mock exams.
Luke 10:2 And he said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.
God bless,
