THE HAMPER PROJECT

The hampers are given to support and care for Members of the Body who are facing financial challenges and difficulties. Each hamper has a shopping List attached to it, which guides the donor(s) as to what to buy, thereby enabling them to make a significant contribution towards providing a balanced diet for a family of four for one week.

It costs approximately R150 to fill a hamper, but if it is assembled by a group of people, individual contributions are as little as R10 or R15 per person. Hampers are delivered to the homes of struggling Members of the Congregation and their situations are re-assessed on a regular basis.

The Pantry was started at Fullies in February 2008. We thank the Lord every day for the way the Body has come together to help each other. Lives were changed and families have been blessed.

The amazing thing is that families that were blessed by the Pantry, are now blessing the Pantry with so much more than they were given.

Cents Collection - put aside your small change and give to ‘The Pantry’. It’s very little to you but collected together it will make a big difference to someone in the assembly
